In order to stand out or to keep standing out, you will need to do somethings that you have never done before. Tonight, we are looking at some brands that are doing just that. First off is Sindicato, a brand known for its Nicaraguan blends. Recently they collaborated with El Artista in the Dominican Republic and have released their first Dominican blend cigar, the Sindicato Artista. Next is 7-20-4, the iconic brand that Kurt Kendall brought back to life in 2006. This year, 7-20-4 has gone down a totally different road by beginning a line of premium pipe tobaccos to market under the banner 7-20-4 Briary Blends. First was Boston Tea Party. Their second blend, Queen City just landed. Are these moves going to help keep these brands stand out?

Extensions and Re-releases

It has become a staple in the cigar industry to expand vitolas in existing lines. You can liken it to Hollwood taking a hit movie and turning it into a franchise...and keeping the franchise going. Of course, just as movie sequels are compared to the original, new line extensions hope to live up to or surpass the original. Today, we look at Aganorsa Leaf's latest extension to the popular Guardian of the Farm series, Cerberus, specifically the Cerberus Robusto. Does this new extension hold up?
If the cigar industry's practice of line extensions can be compared to expanding movie franchises, the pipe tobacco world might well be likened to a Hollywood re-boot of popular films. Sometimes you see this as old brands are picked up and produced by new manufacturers. Other times, like in the case of Cornell & Diehl's Small Batch series, blends are released on an annual or biannual (or even longer) basis. In tonight's pipe tobacco review, we look at the Spring 2022 release of Cornell and Diehl's House Reserve, a blend that was originally released in late 2020 and is exclusive to B&M stores. Is this re-release worth picking up?

Previewing the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Espeso and 4th Generation Tobacconist’s Jubilæums Flake

Altadis' Adam Najarian joins us with the about to be released line extension to the highly acclaimed Montecristo 1935 Anniversary line, the 5 1/2 x 60 box pressed Espeso. The Montecristo 1935 was one of our favorite new releases from last year, does this new "thick" vitola rise to meet those high expectations? 
Speaking of high expectations, Erik Stokkebye, who's 4th Generation Tobacconist line of pipes and tobaccos is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. And to celebrate that, Erik has released Jubilæums Flake, a small batch release consisting of 1500 100g boxes. Does this latest release from Erik live up to the Stokkebye legacy?
